Custom & Corporate Font Design. A corporate typeface is more than a design asset — it is a core element of brand identity.

Corporate Font Design

A corporate typeface is more than a design asset — it is a core element of brand identity. A custom font expresses a company’s values, personality, and positioning with clarity and consistency across every touchpoint.

When thoughtfully crafted, a corporate typeface strengthens brand recognition, enhances readability, and creates a lasting visual voice. It becomes a defining part of your brand — distinctive, controlled, and unmistakably yours.

For mid‑sized and large organizations, a proprietary typeface offers long‑term strategic advantages. It eliminates complex third‑party licensing, ensures global consistency, and represents a sustainable investment in brand equity and operational efficiency.

High-Quality Type Design

Exceptional type design blends aesthetics, functionality, and technical precision. Modern font engineering enables extensive type families with multiple weights — from Thin to Black — broad language support, expanded character sets, and advanced OpenType features. The result is a versatile typographic system that performs reliably across print, digital, and interface environments.

A custom corporate font is not merely designed — it is engineered for durability, scalability, and clarity.

Commissioning a Corporate Typeface

Every project begins with a detailed proposal outlining scope, language requirements, usage, timelines, and licensing terms. Clients typically receive exclusive, unrestricted usage rights, ensuring full flexibility for global deployment.

Once the agreement is in place, we collaborate closely to develop a strategic briefing. This document defines use cases, required character sets, stylistic direction, and technical specifications — ensuring the typeface aligns seamlessly with your brand strategy and functional needs.

Research and Strategy

Effective type design starts with understanding. We analyze your industry, positioning, audience, and communication goals to establish a clear typographic direction.

Acting as both designers and strategic consultants, we translate abstract brand values into functional typographic forms. Every design decision reinforces recognition, credibility, and usability.

Concept Development

The design process begins with two to three test words in the Regular weight. These early studies define rhythm, proportions, weight distribution, and distinctive details such as terminals and structural features.

A successful corporate typeface balances individuality with readability — recognizable without distraction, expressive without compromising clarity.

Once the direction is approved, development of the full character set begins.

Production and Master Weights

Developing the Regular weight typically takes around six weeks. Each glyph is carefully drawn and technically validated to ensure visual consistency and optimal performance across sizes and platforms.

After the Regular weight is complete, foundational master weights — such as Light and Bold — are created. These masters are fully interpolatable, allowing precise generation of intermediate weights like Medium or Semibold while maintaining design integrity across the typeface family.

OpenType‑Features

To ensure professional typographic control, advanced OpenType features are integrated directly into the master fonts:

  • Ligatures — improve letter flow and readability

  • Stylistic sets — provide brand‑specific variations

  • Multiple numeral systems — for editorial, financial, and interface use

  • Fractions and mathematical symbols — ensure technical precision

These features enhance both aesthetic quality and user experience across all media.

Refinement and Quality Assurance

The final development stage focuses on spacing, kerning, and optical balance. Every detail is refined to ensure clarity, harmony, and consistent performance.

Before delivery, the typeface undergoes comprehensive technical validation, guaranteeing structural integrity, compatibility, and production readiness.

Timeline

A typical project follows this structure:

  • Proposal & briefing — definition of scope, requirements, and strategy

  • Research & concept development — initial test words and design direction

  • Regular weight production — approx. six weeks

  • Master weights — creation of Light and Bold for interpolation

  • Full family development — intermediate weights, extended sets, OpenType features

  • Refinement & QA — spacing, kerning, technical validation

  • Delivery & implementation support — final fonts, documentation, and rollout guidance
